Bio
David Mulei is a screenwriter, playwright, and producer whose work spans television, theater, and film.
His television credits include story editor on Veronica Mars starring Kristen Bell and staff positions on CBS dramas featuring Judy Greer, Christopher Lloyd, and Mare Winningham. His stage work—including full-length plays The Crowded Hour, Stubborn Things, and Household Effects—has been developed at the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, Royal Family Performing Arts, Open Fist Theatre, and Rogue Machine Theatre.
Recent projects include The Mystic Rose, a commissioned oratorio with New England Conservatory faculty composer Felicia Sandler that premiered at Boston's historic Basilica; Here Is a Man, an award-winning short film co-developed with actor/writer Jarvis Matthews; and the pilot script adaptation of Errands, a novel by Judith Guest (Ordinary People, Academy Award Best Picture). David's non-fiction book Our Game was accepted into the Baseball Hall of Fame's permanent collection in Cooperstown, NY. He has taught scriptwriting at Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
